Teaching Children with Learning Disabilities

learningDisability01

A range of disorders, where one or more psychological processes involved in processing and usage of language, both written and spoken, impairs the ability to listen, think, read, write, spell or complete mathematical calculations leads to what we know as dyslexia, dyscalculia or dysgraphia. Children suffering from these problems need regular academic content to be adapted into a format they can process and understand. Special educators assess a child’s disability and then adapt academic content for the child, without losing out on the essence of the topic or the opportunity to learn new concepts and ideas from the content.
